Mark Eggers – Co-founder & Head of Sales, YarnoMark is an entrepreneur having previously started businesses in hospitality, social media and web design/development. His most recent venture, Yarno, is a startup specifically focusing on the edutech space. Together with his business partner Lachy, they’ve created a mobile training tool that makes workplace learning fun as well as improving training return on investment.
Usman Iftikhar – COO, CatalysrUsman is a global systems thinker and a strong believer in the power of entrepreneurship for social change. He is passionate about disruptive and systemic solutions to global refugee crisis, global warming and the democratisation of outer-space. He is currently the COO of Catalysr - A business accelerator in Parramatta, breaking down barriers to employment for skilled refugees and migrants in Australia through entrepreneurship.
Laura Dang - Founder, UploadOnceAfter a successful and rewarding career devising multicultural and international community engagement programs for NSW Justice and Western Union and helping blue chip organisations like QBE and Westpac go digital, Laura founded UploadOnce. UploadOnce combines Laura's insights into the challenges in delivering services to Australia's diverse community with her change implementation expertise, to prepare organisations (and experts) to do business in tomorrow's digital economy. This platform elevates experts from being a service provider to becoming an advocate for their customers and business partners.
Jacob Muller - CEO, CatalysrJacob is a 'retired' Accountant and global citizen who believes business can be used as a force for good. He is passionate about helping solve wicked problems such as the global refugee crisis, access to quality education and mental health. He is currently the co-founder and CEO of Catalysr, a business accelerator based in Parramatta. Here he is focusing on helping migrants and refugees to become socially and economically integrated in Australia by starting their own business and creating their own job.
Q : When and where is WSSBE 2017?
The inaugural Western Sydney Business Expo will be held on Tuesday 12 September at Novotel Sydney Parramatta. The expo will run from 9am to 5pm.
Q : Can I just attend the expo and not the speaker sessions?
If you want to attend just the expo we have a Sole Trader package which includes access to the expo only for $19 (plus booking fees).
Q : What's the refund policy?
All tickets are non-refundable.
Q : What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
You can park on-site at the Novotel. Alternatively, Parramatta Train Station is a short 10 minute walk.
